Hi, I’m Yuganthi, and I’m 13 years old.
Yuganthi is a 8th-grade student studying at K/ Hindu National College in Pussellawa. She has a little sister and they both walk daily to and from school. Yuganthi lives in a tea plantation sector in Upcountry, Sri Lanka with her family. Her mother is working at a small shop located in their hometown while her father is employed in a small hotel in their area. Yuganthi’s parents’ collective small incomes are their only source of income to survive, which is insufficient to fulfil their essential needs.
