Hi, I’m Shahithya, and I’m 09 years old.
Shahithya is a 4th-grade student studying at K/ Black Forest Tamil College in Pussellawa. She has an elder sister and they both walk daily to and from school. Shahithya lives in a tea plantation sector in Upcountry, Sri Lanka with her family. Her mother is working as an estate worker while her father is employed as a factory worker in their area. Shahithya’s parents’ collective little incomes are their only source of income to survive, which is insufficient to satisfy even their basic needs.
